Today marks my last day as form teacher of Graceful. Graceful they were not. In fact far from it. However, I left them with a heavy heart. I don't know why. Isit the sentimental me that is showing up ? Yeah, on the surface i'm pretty known as a bo chap happy go lucky guy. As a matter of fact, I am very much as described above. However, few people know I got a sentimental touch within my soul.
I've scolded them, punished them, shouted at them, detained them. Name it. I've did it.Yet everyday I see MSN nick such as 'yey Mr Azreen is back', 'Mr Azreen the best'. My goodness, I'm touched by that. Definitely not big headed by that comments.
Next year I'm still be in the AM session but with no form class. I do not know from which angle should I look that news from. The only thing i'm definitely happy is I will be teaching mostly PE periods.
But, no let me make it a BUT..there will be no Sarah beside me to share love life stories, to tease and to ask for help. Hopefully, the blading sessions coming up will be a way to replace the broken 'neighbours at work' link. There will be also no Raizi and Kenneth to laugh at their stupid jokes. Russell Peters, aha,..Aww man, thats what I hate about primary school. Every year we are being uprooted. Hopefully, there will be people similiar to whom I had befriended this year.
Lastly, I'm proud to have gone through the 'hell' week. Tomorrow marks the finale of the 'hell' week with the prize giving day. I've done my share for the ceremony. Hopefully the pupils would behave well. Weekend coming. Full of activities, especially Sunday. White Sands Primary School Chapter 2005 closed.

I'm back! After 2 weeks plus in Shoalwater Bay Training Area for Exercise Wallaby 2005, i brought back fond memories (ok, sometimes things were quite sian), stronger friendships and an Aussie slang (bleah). As they say, pictures tell a thousand words, so i'm not gonna write much here. Look at the pics below that comes with short commentary. Enjoy!

This is my 'bunk'. We had a culture shock when we first saw it. Reminded us of Vietnam War movies. Of course, we make do with what we had.

First few days in camp. Nothing much to do thus most of the time were spent slacking around. Which organisation pays you to slack so much? Hear that MOE ?

This is the Australian jungle. No mosquitoes (well, at least they don't bite). FYI, i donated human manure to one of the jungles hahaha...

It was too hot in the day tho is not humid. I didnt sweat that much. However the heat was too much so i didnt fast at all (excuse me). One thing about the tap water. It tasted more like swimming water. Too much chlorine..eww..

Armour Med Coy. In my eyes, the best company for 9 FASSB.

This is the pinnacle of the 1st phase outfield exercise. Loading up casualties onto Superpuma chopper. I was one of the lucky 8 people who went up the chopper, not as a medic but as a casualty (fake of course). Again, my light weight (58 kg) work in favour of me getting selected as a casualty.

Go go go! Soldier down! soldier down!

The fine view from the deck of the Superpuma chopper. Amazing sight. One of the reason why Singapore is so so boring...

Relaxing after the first phase outfield exercise. Damn in the day time, it was quite hot to sleep in the tent. And during rain, water will seep in. Grrr..

This is the toilet. Too bad i cant take the internal pics of the toilet. Its very unique, like a PRISON toilet. Yeah man, we all bath together without any separate cubicles with pails. Gays strictly not allowed.

The name of base camp. There's another camp but smaller. Camp Growl is the name of the other one.

Breaking fast in camp. Luckily the SFI cook took care of us well. He served us delicious dishes until I didnt miss food back home. In the end, we all chip in some money to give to him as a token of appreciation.

2nd part of outfield. The team from Pioneer Magazine was there to interview n took photos of my platoon in action. We are gonna be SAF pin up guys hahaha..

Cooking in the field. Part n parcel of outfield. Maggi mee and combat rations were the order of the day (in fact, everyday)...

Aww..so tired till we dozed off in the tonner. In fact, the tonner is our sleeping area for the outfield training. We got to use sleeping bags as it was freaking cold out there in the field. Temperatures drop to arnd 17 degrees.

9 FASSB is supporting 433 SAR in its ATEC exercise. Alot of tanks were deployed in the training area. A live firing exercise was carried out too although i didnt manage to catch it.

Isnt it a nice view ? Any romantic couple would love to just sit down n cuddle each other n just stare at the beautiful scenary..awwww...

Last night at Sam Hill Camp was concluded by the Deeparaya happy hour. Everyone got a cert of participation. Beer was on the house. Some got mabuk of course hee..There's aso a video clip of the past 2 weeks. Quite hilarious.

We cant wait to go for our rest n recreation (RnR). Rockhamptom town, here we come!

The symbol of partnership between SAF and ADF.

Shopping was the order of the day. All in all, i think i spent close to $400 on shopping, mostly on food. Got a few stuffs for friends. I'm goin to stuff all your mouths with chocolates.

The town of Rockhampton. Its a very clean town and the thing is, I seldom come across a rubbish bin! Friendly folks too. And who says ang moh are rich peeps ? just look at the house that they stay in. Looks like some kampung house in Malaysia rite ? And to think that some Spore gals are crazy over poor ang mohs..haha..

The motel that i stayed in. All of us are scattered over different motels cos our numbers are too big for one motel. I was separated from my platoon. Too bad cos their hotel got a pretty receptionist..hehehe *wink*

My last few hours in Rockhampton. I left Rocky Town wif a tinge of sadness yet I very much look foward in arriving back to Singapore. Maybe i miss certain people over in Singapore ? Whatever it is, Exercise Wallaby 2005 is going to be etched in my memory for quite a long period. Long live Armour Medical Company!
